Effective date: 15 October 2026.
Nextgen Pure Data Pty Ltd ("we", "us", "our") collects, holds, uses and discloses personal information in the course of providing financial data processing, cleansing, validation, structuring, dashboarding and related technical services to institutional and business clients in Australia. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, how we handle it, and the rights you have. It is prepared against the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the OAIC guidance that supports them. It applies to visitors to this website, enquirers, prospective clients and clients.
Our office is Level 7/607 Bourke Street, Melbourne VIC 3000. Our contact email is contact@nextgenpuredata.com.au and our phone number is 03 8518 3315. If you have any question about this policy or about information we hold about you, contact us first at that address. We will generally respond within five business days.
We collect personal information only where it is needed to respond to an enquiry, scope and deliver an engagement, or to meet a legal or record-keeping obligation. The categories of personal information we collect are as follows.
Enquiry and contact details. When you submit the contact form, request a quote, email us or call, we collect your name, your work email address, your phone number, your organisation, and a description of the data problem or service you are asking about. We may also collect your job title or team where you provide it.
Engagement records. Where an engagement proceeds, we collect the business contact details of the people we deal with on your side, the deliverables you commission, correspondence relating to the engagement, invoices and payment records, and the datasets you ask us to process. The datasets themselves may include reference data, security master data, pricing series, corporate action histories, benchmark data and the internal files you ask us to reconcile. These are usually business records rather than the personal information of named individuals, but we treat them as confidential regardless.
Technical information. This is a static marketing website hosted on Australian infrastructure. We do not run visitor-level analytics that identify you, and we do not set advertising cookies. Our hosting provider may collect standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamp) for operational and security purposes. We do not combine these logs with other data to build a profile of you.
We do not collect sensitive information (as defined in the Privacy Act) about you, such as health information, religious beliefs or biometric data, unless you choose to provide it in the course of a conversation, in which case we handle it with the same controls described below.
We collect personal information directly from you: through the website contact and quote forms, by email, by phone, in meetings and video calls, and through documents you send us under an engagement. We do not buy lists, scrape public profiles, or collect personal information from third-party data brokers. Where a form asks for information we do not need, the field is marked optional and you may decline.
We use personal information for the following purposes:
We do not use personal information for profiling, for credit assessment, or to make decisions about you by automated means. We do not sell, rent or trade personal information to anyone, and we do not use it for cross-browser or cross-device advertising.
A large part of our work is processing datasets that you own or are licensed to use. These may include end-of-day and intraday pricing for equities, fixed income, foreign exchange, futures and funds; reference data such as security identifiers, issuer names and sector classifications; corporate action histories; macroeconomic series from official sources; and internal files such as position records, book-of-business extracts and model outputs.
We process these datasets only to deliver the engagement you have commissioned. We do not reuse them for other clients, we do not combine them with other clients' data to build products for resale, and we do not publish them. Working copies of client data held on our systems are returned to you, deleted or aggregated at the end of the engagement, subject to the retention rules below. Where a deliverable embeds a sample or extract, it is scoped to the internal use licensed in the engagement letter.
We do not disclose personal information to external parties except in the limited circumstances below:
We do not disclose personal information to data brokers, advertising networks, social media platforms, or any buyer of commercial data lists.
We are based in Melbourne and we process client data on Australian-hosted infrastructure. A small number of our clients are based outside Australia, and correspondence may travel by email. We do not routinely transfer personal information offshore. Where we use a sub-provider that operates outside Australia to deliver part of an engagement, we will tell you in the engagement letter and will rely on the Australian Privacy Principles' cross-border disclosure rules, including taking reasonable steps to ensure the overseas recipient handles the information in line with this policy.
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect personal information and client datasets from unauthorised access, loss, misuse or disclosure. These include access controls on internal systems, restricted physical access to the office at Level 7/607 Bourke Street, use of encrypted channels for email and file transfer where practical, and a clean-desktop approach. We do not hold client funds, we do not operate customer portals that store personal financial identity documents, and we do not run public-facing database applications.
No method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure. If we become aware of a data breach affecting personal information we hold, we will act in line with the Privacy Act's mandatory breach notification regime: we will assess the breach, notify the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner and affected individuals where required, and take steps to contain the incident.
We retain personal information and engagement records only for as long as needed for the purpose they were collected, plus the period required by law. Business records and invoices are kept for the statutory record-keeping period. Working copies of client datasets that are not required to be retained are deleted at the end of the engagement or on your written request. When records are no longer needed, they are deleted or de-identified so that individuals can no longer be identified.
Under the APPs you may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to take no further action on it. To make a request, write to contact@nextgenpuredata.com.au or to our postal address. We will ask you to verify your identity before we release information. We will respond within a reasonable period, normally within 14 to 30 days. If we refuse a request, we will explain why and tell you about complaint options.
You may also ask us not to use your information for direct marketing. We do not currently send direct marketing, so this is unlikely to arise, but the option stands. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (www.oaic.gov.au).
This website and our services are directed at institutional and business clients. We do not knowingly collect personal information from people under 18. If you believe we have done so, contact us and we will delete the information.
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, in legislation, or in OAIC guidance. The "effective date" at the top of this page shows when the current version took effect. Material changes will be noted on this page. We encourage you to revisit this page periodically.
